As a conscious corporate ‘Precision’ has always taken keen interest in the welfare of its workforce and has believed in giving back to the society where it draws its resources. ‘Precision Foundation’ was incorporated on 26 October 2006 with the objective of fulfilling the corporate social responsibility of PCL. Precision Foundation works in the areas of Healthcare, Education, Sports, Social welfare, Sports, Art & Culture. Various schemes have been implemented for the benefit of the workforce at PCL and their kith and kin. Precision Foundation is now expanding its horizon and wishes to work for the society at large and is contributing towards the growth and development of people of Solapur. Precision foundation is working for the development of the people of Solapur with keen focus in Health Care, Education, Social Welfare, Sports and Art & Culture. |

HEALTH CARE |
Precision Foundation has implemented various schemes for the workforce at PCL and their kith and kin apart from providing health care services in the vicinity of PCL. |
| Free check up and treatment camps were organized for the children of the workforce at PCL in 0 to 12 age group. 243 children were examined and treated so far.
|
Health check up camps are conducted for the benefit of the workforce regularly. |
|
|
Solapur was gripped by an epidemic of “Cholera” due to contamination of drinking water. Precision Foundation held camps in the affected localities educating people on how to purify drinking water and also examining and treating patients of Cholera. 346 patients were provided free treatment. |
| Occupational Health Centers are set up at all three units of PCL, fully equipped for emergency management with a doctor and an ambulance available 24*7.
Health Care :

Precision Foundation gives financial aid of 25 % of the bill amount or Rs. 25000/- to the employees whose immediate family members suffer from any of the life threatening conditions like heart disease, cancer, neurological ailments, severe burns or accidents. 32 employees have benefitted due to this scheme over the last 3 years. Precision Foundation has tied up with renowned hospitals in Solapur to get upto 20% discount on the hospital bills of its employees and their dependents. |

EDUCATION
|
Creating awareness about Education particularly in the wards of the workers has always been a subject of great interest for Precision Foundation. |
| Scholarships are awarded to meritorious children of the workforce right from first standard to post graduation.
Students securing 90% marks and above receive special appreciation. |
The scholarship is in the form of study material for the next academic year. The scholarships are given to student securing marks n excess of 75%. |
| Drawing and painting competitions are held for the children of the workforce.

| Teaching aid consisting of a set of 8 headphones was donated to the Deaf & Dumb residential school operating in the locality of Precision Camshafts Limited. |

The workers were apprehensive about their wards getting this kind of marks, but we have seen children performing better every year and it is evident from the increasing number of the awardees by the year. |
| SOCIAL WELFARE | Precision Foundation has shown its keen interest in social development and undertaken some projects for developmental work like Modi Smashan Bhoomi, free water supply in shortage area etc. |
| Precision Foundation has entered into an agreement with Solapur Municipal Corporation for the upkeep of the crematorium and burial ground at Modi, Solapur for a period of 5 years. Repairs and maintenance of the building housing the electric crematorium were carried out.

Three new burning sheds were built. The approach road was built / tarred. Burial ground has been cleaned and leveled. The total expenditure so far has been Rs. 950000/- |
| In times of severe water shortages in the MIDC area, Precision Foundation supplied drinking water by tankers to the residential colonies in the affected areas. |

| A blood donation camp is organized every year and 524 bottles of blood have been collected over the last 3 years. |

Social Contribution :
|
Family planning is encouraged and employees (or their spouse) under going family planning surgery after 2 children are given an incentive of Rs. 3000/- In case of death in the family the employee is given a financial help of Rs. 3000/- towards funeral expenses. The amount distributed on these accounts over the last 3 years is more than 4 lacs. |
| SPORTS | Precision Foundation renders financial help to sports persons from Solapur district who are representing the nation in international sports events, |
| Precision Foundation is a sponsor for Miss Prarthana Thombare of Barshi, an international lawn tennis player. She represents India in the under 16 Girls team and has won a number of international tournaments over the last 3 years.

Precision has sponsored her for a period of 3 years and the sponsorship amount is Rs. 100000/- per year. |
| Precision Trophy Cricket Tournament was held at the Chincholi unit of PCL. 16 teams from comprising of workers and management of various industries in the Chincholi MIDC participated in this 12 days tournament.

| Ms. Swati Birajdar and Ms. Swati Myageri, Taiquando players from Solapur were extended financial help to travel to Uzbekistan. They both won Bronze medals at the International event in Uzbekistan. |
|
| The Foundation also helped Ms. Deepali Jalgaonkar, a power lifter from Bombay, was unable to participate in the World Power Lifting Championship in Austria for want of funds. Deepali participated and secured a Bronze. |
| ART AND CULTURE | In order to propagate art & culture in Solapur, Precision Foundation organized a three-day event ‘Precision Guppa’ in November 2009. This event will be organized in October every year, to coincide with the Foundation Day, 26th October. |
| The first day of ‘Precision Guppa’ was dedicated to the development of Solapur. The newly elected MLAs of Solapur Ms. Praniti Shinde, Mr. Dilip Mane and Mr. Vijay Deshmukh were interviewed by Mr. Arun Khore, Editor of Prabhat, Pune on their views about development of Solapur. |

| The second day was screening of the Marathi movie ‘Thang’ followed by interview with Mr. Amol Palekar, noted director and Sandhya Gokhale, the scriptwriter. |

|
‘Precision Social Recognition Award’ The ‘Precision Social Recognition Award’ was given away on the last day at the hands of Kavi Grace, a well-known Marathi poet and Dr. Jagdish Patil, Collector, Solapur. The recipient of the very first award were ‘Bhave Rugnopayogi (Patients Relief Association)’ who have been working relentlessly in the field of providing utilities for patient relief at a nominal rent for the last 78 years. |

The award consisted of Rs. 100000/- and a memento.
